Value for Money Teaching Quality Personal Tutor Course Content Job Prospects All reviews are the views of StudentCrowd members, not of StudentCrowd Limited member426855 22nd June 17One of the worst run departments in the country. Do not give 'a monkeys' about student welfare, and tend to sweep any issues or problems under the carpet. If they know they're in the wrong or feel threatened they'll either silence you or fight it until the bitter end. Unfair grading, tend to mark on a basis of what they want to hear or in line with their own opinion and what they view is the correct answer. don't ever use your own opinion or do anything different or 'think outside the box' on assignments or exams. You will get marked down or fail, even if it does answer the question! Very bad communication between lecturers and other department members. Seems to have a huge problem in hiring or even keeping a competent administrator for more than a year. During my time here, however, events and activities tailored towards employability have improved, and some lecturers genuinely care about their students and their success. read more
